Self care checklist printable12/6/2023 So we rounded up a list of our favorite ways to acknowledge the self and indulge in a little bit of one-on-one love. It can also grant us ideas that we can turn into actions, help us focus on goals, and give us time for self-reflection when we see on the page where we are perhaps out of balance and where we are falling short of meeting our own needs. On a deeper level, self-care tips should also help to balance our basic needs, not just physically but emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually too.Ĭreating a self-care planner can help us to stay accountable to our own well being. Part of our unique and beautiful personalities is the fact that we all find comfort and joy in different things and part of our self-care checklist should be aiming to take time to do the things we love. Taking care of ourselves isn't always as easy as it first may sound and it can also look quite different for different people. Simply put, self-care is exactly what it says on the tin - it's the simple small ways in which we take care of ourselves. While it's a word that gets bandied around a lot and often folded into a narrative of buzzword consumerism (AKA have a bubble bath and buy this thing), true self-care is not a new idea nor is it some complex lifestyle. Snap a picture, post to Instagram, and tag me I can’t wait to see it. Check off the items that you do each day. How do you use this list? Enter your info above to receive the free download of the Self Love List, then print it out, fill it out, and keep it somewhere you can see it daily. This is the page that you can print out week after week. Once you’ve decided the things you’d like to make a regular part of your life, you add the to the 3rd page. Those things might sound terrible to you! And that’s ok! That’s why it’s important to use the first to page of the Self Love List to really hone in on what makes YOU come alive. I may enjoy taking baths, drinking tea, and restorative yoga. The first two pages, there are different categories, and you check the items within that category that get you excited! Self Love is such a personal thing. Think of the Self Love List as part journal prompt and part checklist. Once you realize the importance of doing the self care things that light you up, you’ll never go back! But that’s just it- it’s the figuring that out that can be the problem! We’ve been told that running ourselves to the ground is holy, but I fully disagree. We have to be filled up and overflowing in order to love and serve the other people in our lives well. I know that when I take the time to do the things that fill up my cup, I’m a much better wife, mom, and human. We’ve been told that self care is selfish… but is it? I don’t think so! And the funniest part- I will even ADD things I have done to my checklist just so I can check it off! Anyone else out there with me? I always, always have multiple checklists going for different categories. The Self Love List has been years in the making… and do you know why? Because this is exactly the resource that I want for myself! □ Personally, I am ALL about checklists.
